While One Direction was in DC a couple of weeks ago, Niall took some time to hang out with a contest winner from 94.7 Fresh FM. Niall sat down with the lucky fan and answered some rapid fire questions. Check out some of the highlights below!

What house would you be in Hogwarts?
Umm…what’s Malfoy in? Slytherin. I’d be in Slytherin.

What would be your strategy to win The Hunger Games?
You know what? I’d just give up. Cause I’d get too hungry early and would die straight away.

What are your pet peeves?
Eh…oh that’s good. I hate stubborn people who won’t meet in the middle; it’s always their way or no way.

What’s your favorite app?
That’s a good one. I have this app that I watch. We have a sports channel back home called Sky Sports and they have an app where you can watch live soccer games and stuff and I watch that all the time.

Do you like sugar in your tea?
Yes. But Louis doesn’t, he’s the only one. I love sugar in my tea. I add three. Back home we call it a builder’s tea. It’s like really strong tea, loads of milk, loads of sugar, so you can stack your spoon it because it’s that strong.

What fictional character would be your best friend?
What fictional character would be my best friend…best friend…oooh that’s a good that…Homer Simpson.

Which song can you most relate to on Up All Night?
I think – let me think about this I relate to a couple – “Up All Night” simple because it got us written all over it when we heard it we thought this is for us definitely. We like to stay up mostly because we can’t sleep but when we’re at home we like to stay up and party all night and chill out we’re teenage guys and like to do what everyone does.

And maybe “One Thing” because everyone knows that person who has like that one thing that you can’t put your finger on.

If I gave you an Elephant where would you hide it?
I’d build a shed for it. Or a big grange a massive thing. I’d have to get people in to feed it because I probably won’t be there to do it myself. So a big garage.

What do you think of boy fans?
We want to see more of them! That’s what we’re aiming to do. We see them in the crowd, and that’s cool. Obviously it’s 90% girls. But we’re trying to expand. We’re regular teenage guys all five of us are in the back of the class annoying the teacher we’re trying to get that across and get everyone to like us.

I could never have a celebrity as my backgrounds. Mainly because I keep who I like extremely secret and I get paranoid at the thought of someone seeing my background being Rihanna/1D/Nicki etc.
