Critic opinions matter, though. Public perception of music can help with sales more than a rehashed song.

You take it so seriously though! Metacritic decides what you listen to? I mean come on now, you listen to music because you like it, not because of what it scored on metacritic. The outliers on those things show how stupid some blogs/review sites can be. Not all of those people are acclaimed critics either.

Metacritic doesn't decide what music I listen to, but I am more likely to listen to a song if critics like it. They're critics for a reason...
Imagine opening up Rolling Stone magazine and seeing a song with 2.5 stars and one with 5. Which one are you more likely to listen to?

You can have success and critical acclaim. Why bother working with ****** producers when you don't need them?

I listen to songs with low scores regardless Actually i'm more likely to listen to the 2.5 to listen to WHY they gave it that rating. I don't even use metacritic like that It's nice when they give you a good rating, but hell it has no say on what I listen to whatsoever. If metacritic was giving Gaga bad scores we wouldn't even be talking about this right now

She will get bad reviews, if she does work with David Guetta. Why do you want her to lose her critical acclaim?

Sigh...
RedOne's work apart from Gaga is widely viewed as trash though, so surely she can make magic happen with whomever?

But she would. Why do you think she has critical acclaim while her contemporaries who work with the David Guetta-level producers don't?

RedOne's giving Gaga the same stuff he gives other people, too. I've heard Scheisse/Judas in songs he's produced since their BTW sessions. So either he's giving away what Gaga creates with him, or he's repeating himself like every other ****** producer.

Well, he repeats himself, definitely. Haven't you heard that Kat Deluna song that "Bad Romance"'s production is derived from?

Oh so now Fernando and DJWS are the only producers who can keep her critically acclaimed. I mean don't get me wrong, I want to hear some stuff from Zedd, but I don't understand how Zedd who's virtually making the same type of music as the stuff on the radio is any different?

No sis I said she needs FRESH BLOOD. NEW talent, not recycled trash. What are you not understanding?

And NBTB wasn't THAT bad IMO, specially the instrumental tracks.
Guetta is just having a phase, he will go back to something less-USA when he wants. But he's not the type of producer who should be working with Gaga, he doesn't seem to be very versatile.

All i'm saying is that unless Zedd gives her this fresh hot amazing dance track that we're ALL yearning for, it still wont change the fact that she's Lady Gaga and she'll keep her Critical Acclaim. Sure, I don't think she should pull an Electra Heart and start working with Dr.Luke,Max Martin, David Guetta, and ect. I'm just saying I don't see the harm in them doing a song together.

Doesn't change the fact that she's someone he REALLY wants to work with.
But I'd prefer she worked with Afrojack, Tiesto, and deadmau5 anyway.
A deadmau5 collaboration would be interesting considering his spat with Madonna

I really liked NBTB. It was okay, the vocal tracks were generic, but they were club songs, radio ready and catchy. With a Gaga twist to that I don't see how they could go wrong. However I can see what you're saying about versatility and that could be an issue if he were to decide that he wanted to regurgitate all his past works into her one song

I still think that she would add her own input into the instrumental production. Even creating a piano riff of her own, rather than looping that sample from Coldplay's "Clocks"...

Seriously? Critics are just normal people who are just payed to share their opinion like anyone else. If you decide to do ANYTHING based on a critic, then you are ignorant, IMO. Everyone likes what they like, regardless of what anyone else says. Critics mean **** to me. There have been plenty of times where critics, or friends told me something was awful, and I loved it. Rolling Stone doesn't matter either. If you are judging music based on a critic, then I feel sorry for you, and you seriously need to re-evaluate your free thinking skills. I'll never understand people who listen to what critics say as the gospel.

Only thing is that Guetta's the most commercially accessible.
Tiesto did a song with Nelly Furtado, though, so... Maybe?
