How can you compare their success when Xtina releases an album every 4 years, Britney released alot albums before Napster and illegal downloading 4 whereas Xtina 2.
Britney slaughtered her outside the States. She was more successful singles-wise only in the US since Britney's label didn't bother releasing physical singles, because they were focused on her getting diamond albums instead (“…Baby One More Time” still outsold “Genie” and “From the Bottom of My Broken Heart” outsold both of her other two #1’s.) She has sold only 0.3 million less physical singles than Christina has, despite only five of her singles getting physical releases, so I honestly don't get it.
Christina has sold She has sold 3,351,000 physical singles from 1999-2005.
That's my point. Stop living in the past, grasping at one figure in order to make Christina seem superior.
Britney is still putting out solo hits and worldwide tours.
Shouldn't you be telling the people who brought it up... I'm supplying the receipts to the delusional people on here who claim it was untrue from the start.
Britney stans get criticized for bringing up old performance clips from 2004 - but here the Xtina stans are clinging to physical single sales in the days when phones couldn't even text.
Honestly who give a **** what Xtina was doing in the early 2000s and what she was accomplishing - the fact is she isn't doing it now, hasn't been doing it for - going on- a decade...and still continues to be outshined by the combo cockblock of Britney Spears and whatever other "It" girl there is at the time.
