So... you want her to rerelease a CD without a single to promote it?
Thank god you are only a stan and not in charge of a damn thing. You'd have the bitch on Kat de Luna levels of fame with a quickness.

Umm No. Doesnt leave time for a break. I want 2 more singles after Where Have You Been. Thats a good 7 months tacked on to the era (which means we're already in 2013). June is the 6th month of the year. And the lead single will have to be at least 2-3 months before that. So... where's the break?
Lead Single - September 2013
Album - December 2013 (preferred) or.. in February 2014.
Mega Tour - June 2014 -May 2015

With Rihanna putting her music career on the back burner while she does movies etc for the rest of the year, I doubt there would be anymore singles after WHYB. Meaning she has until the end of 2012 (6 months) to do her movies, then come 2013 she can have a 4 month break until the end of April/start of May, where she can release the new album mid-late June.

Def Jam released a compilation album a few years ago with Cry and Haunted on it. Maybe try seeing if that was released on your iTunes.

Yeah.. but why would she kill the era like that? Trust.. at least 1 more single will be released after Where Have You Been. The next 2 single hopefuls will be Cockiness, Watch N Learn and Drunk On Love. Knowing Def Jam, they are going with Cockiness for 5th single (July) and closing it out with Drunk on Love in September. Releasing singles doesnt stop her from doing her movies. We dont expect her to go out and PROMOTE them 24/7. Just one TV performance wont take that much out her schedule. If all goes well the era will be defunct by February 2013 (after the Grammys) and she can start to visualize about her next project. She can take the next 6 months out of the public eye and work on her album, take dance lessons and EVOLVE as an artist - that takes time. Creating a new distinct sound, working with new writers and try to broaden her audience. How is she suppose to showcase her growth as an artist if she releases like clockwork? Look at how Gaga does it, she takes time away from the public. Rihanna is a BIG name. She wont be forgotten. If she goes outside for a cup of coffee, the paps will be snapping so she will still be a hot commodity.
But thats neither here or there. With that long period of time, her movie that shes been filming in 2012 can be released, she can even shoot another movie in that time span as well, they dont take more than 1-2 months anyways.
Releasing a new single lets say Labor Weekend in September 2013, she can do so much with it esp. performing it at the VMAs and opening the era.
Release the 2nd single Black Friday week. Then 2 weeks later release the album (2 weeks before Christmas).

I don't think she's really 'killing' the era. WHYB will make the era go out with a bang, but if she/Def Jam decide to release another single after WHYB, then it will be Wn'L on urban radios or something... let the era just quietly fizzle out. I can't see Rihanna prolonging this era for much longer, tbh.
Working on movies instead of music for the rest of this year could classify as 'taking a break' in the public's eye as she won't be everywhere. The initial headline of "Rihanna starring in new movie" won't hurt her public presence, it would keep her name out there without intruding anymore with overexposure. I also like your idea of Rihanna taking her time to find herself, work on her artistry/sounds, and her dancing, which I guess could occur within those 4 months between January to April. Because as much as Rihanna needs to, I highly doubt she would fully take 4 months off for herself, this way she has "time off" but she's also working towards something.

I dont mind a Summer release either tbh. It can still be done effectively. A JULY release is more appropriate for me though. Release the lead single in April.
If she's just releasing an urban only and Pop single from TTT and ends the era completely by November (meaning all songs are done on radio) then Im fine with that.
December - July is 8 Months. That's Perfect. She can record an album in 3-5 and work on the concept in two-three, they can even overlap.
Lead Single - April
perfect for American Idol, the Voice performances, Billboard Awards and such.
Album in July.

I personally feel the wait between April and July is too much, unless it's the last week or April and first week of July. But apart from that I like all of this.
