I hope she lasts long enough to make a third album because she's undeniably talented.

I agree. Lots of the tracks on the album come across as cheap.
I like many of the songs but idk, overall it just lacks something. There's lots of fillers imo.

Look at emeli, rebecca and ed. All have more relevancy in the world as they put out their singles and left it to sell after sending it to radio. She hasn't even done that. She should've been in the UK, then Europe and put the album out. Then another single, and then hit the US. She's taking too long. I love her, but It's killing me and her career. I don't wanna say it, but she's gonna learn the hard way. After all the fighting, you win, get the contract, have a flawless debut, manage NOT to go global with it and decide to create a whole new album with the WORST label out there and let all hype die down............SIS

Yeah I agree, it's so sad

Yeah she did. But on the voice thing, they didn't want her. Cheryl got on because of will.i.am. But the BBC aren't exactly Alex's best friend (ie radio 1).

So if these big shows don't want her I suppose her record label can't do anything to help her. She's over.

There were many promo opportunities right now like The Voice, The Diamond Jubilee concert. But there's been nothing except little interviews on regional radio stations and gossip websites.

They don't want her. It's sad tbh. Jessie J is all they want.

Yup, it's very sad. Especially considering that she is one of the UK's most talented vocalists and performers and we should be celebrating her.

True. A lot of people want to see her fail, think she can't sing, is arrogant and is a joke. Hence my desire for her to **** the UK and blaze the world. The world is less OTT about personality and stans for talent. I don't get it. This country is just so ugh. And people say that there's no talent, yet when it's there, people complain.

So true. I also think Alex is suffering because she isn't viewed as 'cool' among younger people. If you aren't a dubstep DJ, new hyped act, Ed Sheeran or Adele you can pretty much kiss that #1 goodbye.

Yep. I saw this coming, not because Alex is bad, but R1 were always trying to destroy her. Not playing her, taking the piss out of her. And now Capital's head Mark Findlay has a vendetta against her, which he finds hilarious, she's even worse off. People were starting to get over her XF stint (which IMO she said what the nation was thinking, but was made out to be the devil) and don't know the stuff is out. If they played her, as Elephant showed, she'd sell. 120k is poor, but to say she had no airplay from the majors who have the top 40 on lockdown, it was okay. Her 'coolness' is another thing. I think she'd be the best mate to have, but people think she's essentially a retard and a Z lister.
Shame...they give her a career and are intent on destroying it. I was watching her past videos and XF performances and it's beyond sad. It's actually heartbreaking. IMO she's the only one we have who can be at Bey's level and slay in the US. I don't get our country sometimes. Imagine if R1+2 had hammered her in 2009/2010, she'd have passed 1.2m with overcome with ease and would have about 5m sold. I mean Jessie has all her singles, bar WHo's laughing now, with over 300k thanks to R1,2 and Capital and all other stations. I wonder how she (Alex) continues, with the hate and death threats, and sabotage. I'd probably have a breakdown.

IMO, she should pull a "Natasha Bedingfield" ASAP...
but in Alex's case its not because you've abandoned your country, but YOUR COUNTRY has abandoned you!..
shame! a damn shame

Maybe, hard to say. She always sold more physicals than digital albums.

Her guest judging on The X Factor turned a lot of people against her here in the UK. The press was awful. I think that because she was just a guest judge people expected her to just sit there and say "That was great. That was great. That was great." but she actually gave constructive criticism and many people felt that she didn't have the right or that she came across as fake and try hard. It's a shame as she was just doing her job, to judge and give her opinions.
And Radio 1 have always been against her. Even in The X Factor days, they were at the forefront of the 'Jeff Factor' campaign to stop Alex getting the Christmas #1. Which failed.
