Katy's singles last on radio/itunes for 4 months at least!... TOTGA was released last October and was top 10 till mid january! POM was released in mid Feb! On the other hand, Rihanna releases singles when her current song hasn't even peaked! (WFL was #1 and she released YD1, TTT and then BC)...

It is not an 8th single. I wish you guys would stop calling it that. Its a very New song. it came out in march 2012. It didnt came out in 2010 like the other tracks on Teenage Dream. it doing well is not surprising seeing as someone is not going to buy the full rerelease album again if they already own the standard. They will more likely just buy the three NEW songs and call it a day. Logic.

This Katy Vs Rihanna crap is pointless. Does it really matter? Katy is the singles queen in the US. Everything she releases, gets eaten up by the public and by radio for sure. Rihanna is still pretty big, but she's so controversial, and some ppl are to reluctant to even buy her music. Rihanna is like day and night to Katy. Their style, music, and image. Katy appeals to a much younger audience, and parents are the one's dishing out the money for their children to buy her music. Both are great artists and respectively they both own the charts...
