Gaga did not reinvent anything, she just reminded us of something we have forgotten - Music is an art form and art should come directly from the artist. Somewhere along the way, the invention of boy bands and the manufactured pop icons we see these days influenced greatly how a lot of people perceive music as simply entertainment. There are a lot of problems in the music industry but this might possibly be the most important issue to address. The business has changed but the product has not. And if it takes a creature like Lady Gaga to remind us of that, then we should learn to embrace it.

I was pretty ambivalent towards Bloody Mary upon first listen. I like it a bit more now, and I definitely appreciate it as a pop song, but it's not a favorite of mine.
