Not all monsters though.
In fairness, with Roar being such a smash, you would expect a much bigger debut. Yet she only sold about half of her first week single sales. Miley has had the whole world watching, and a number 1 single and she only managed to sell about the same as Katy. And then there is Gaga, who will actually sell more albums in the first week than she sold in her first week for Applause.
Without being delusional, all 3 girls have had EXTREMELY disappointing numbers for their status in the pop world. They are just not connecting with the public in the way that convinces people to buy their albums, like their male counterparts seem to be able to do.
