First of all, like I said earlier. I KNOW AIDS isn't a disease only gay people suffer, duh. Everyone knows it. But gay people have made AIDS their own and took action to help. Not because it's theirs but because the media started with it and they decided to support it, that's why people like Elton John and others made it their cause and I included it because:
1. All the "gay legends" that ATRL mentions do these stuff and all the haters have acussed Nick of not doing anything of that. That's honestly the reason I included it since on here he has been blamed for "not doing that kind of stuff"
2. I included the tweets, interviews and everything because like I stated in the first paragraph, PEOPLE ON HERE BLAME HIM FOR "ONLY" STARTING TO DO IT ONCE HE RELEASED A SOLO ALBUM or saying that he was homophobic. And that is proof that it didnt start recently and he has been open-minded since he was a kid.
3. How is he supposed to show he's a supporter? How is he supposed to help? Like... Being quiet about it doesn't help at all.
4. If pandering to gay people is so beneficial for a straight male artist then why Nick is one of the few that does it? Why has Nick done it since 2002 then?
Why do you always have to judge someone like you know them? He clearly have strong opinions about it since he has been supporting since 2002, you're no one to judge someone you don't know especially for doing something that isn't harmful (like even you said)
Quit the drama.

If you know that AIDS is not just a gay issue, you wouldn't have included it as your evidence. Just because the media pushed it as a gay issue back in the '80s and gay celebrities like Elton John have AIDS-related charities does not make it a gay issue and definitely is not evidence of LGBT support when a celebrity is associated with it. Stop reaching.
1. Those "gay legends" aren't gay icons because they supported AIDS charities.
2. A random tweet in 2013 isn't qualifier for being a LGBT advocate. I don't get why anybody would think he's homophobic, but your "evidence" is hardly proof of someone who's so overly concerned about the LGBT community. That tweet and interview quote you gave as "evidence" is no different from the empty support your random throwaway celebrity says about gay people.
3. Where did I say that being quiet is helpful? My whole response is debunking the idea you're pushing where Nick is so concerned about the LGBT community.
4. Who ever said that pandering to gay males is necessary for straight male artists? And since when did Nick pander to gay males since 2002? Are you still using the fact he attended a AIDS charity as evidence of supporting gay people?
Why are you telling me not to judge someone I don't know when that's exactly what you're doing except you've made a supportive judgement of his behavior? Talk about hypocrisy. I guess I'm "no one to judge" because I'm not being delusional and pretending that attending an AIDS charity is evidence of gay support. And no, you've presented no evidence of any "strong opinion." That tweet in 2013 and that line in The Advocate interview are hardly "strong opinions" and just superficial lines that random celebrities like even Zayn Malik have said. I guess Zayn Malik is another champion of LGBT community. Give me a break.
Quit using a pop singer to perpetuate your fantasy about straight approval.

Some of us don't live with a pessimistic mindset and always assume the worst in people.
At the end of the day, everyone has their own agenda. But if they're fulfilling in a way that's helpful to the gay community and embraces us, what the **** is the issue? At the end of the day, we need all the allies we can get and assuming the worst in them without any factual reason is lame.
Especially when most actual gay males in the industry are either thinly in the closet or don't speak about gay issues in order to fit in by assimilation.

Calling a spade a spade is realism, not pessimism. And if anything is lame, it's being naive and feeling validated because a straight male celebrity you fantasize about is giving you attention. If you haven't noticed through that naivety, that's the marketing scheme here.
And that second paragraph is just scary. Everyone has an agenda, but it's okay in this case because because the gay community supposedly benefits when we're embraced by a person who gives us superficial support. Oh, what an amazing ally.
