Once that happens, then we can make comparisons and analysis. All I know is that the Britney stans have slayed over the passed 24 hours and GaGa and her stans will have ALOT to surpass if they even think about coming close to half of what we did yesterday.

I'm hoping that ATRL does more stuff like it did yesterday to honor Britney's single release. I think that when Lady Gaga and Beyonce release new singles, there should be days dedicated to them as well!

And I know Britney fans will say that Gaga hasn't been around long enough, but her impact on pop culture is just as big as Britney's was at the beginning of her career. They've both made huge impacts on the music industry. And Beyonce is Beyonce, enough said.

I'm talking about how sucessful she is going to be. We have no idea about anything yet but if GaGa goes for the Euro sound it will do better then Britney in Europe. Face the facts, I live in the UK ffs, I know which girl gets the most hype over here. There are countless magazines out at the moment noting comebacks next, in every single one GaGa, Elbow and Coldplay are mentioned, Britney is not.

Here in Germany, too. Britney never has been as successful here with her newer eras, as I wished for her.

For a lot of people (non-stans) Britney's a nostalgia thing so whenever she released music it takes them back. She has way more universal appeal than GaGa just because she's been around so long and everyone loves her (even if they hated her at one point). And it helps that the song is REALLY good.
But all these people go "ahh I love Britney this takes me back" Time does play a big role.
