IF MTN flops, I have to say my hopes for any other singles doing good this era is negative
I was sure it would do good. Oh well.
Maybe Scheisse if we're lucky!

Not even a week has gone by since you've become a member.
Personally, I'm waiting until Marry the Night drops below You and I - then I'll be a little worried. Other than that, this has been my favorite single era, so I frankly don't care about the charts.
Damn I wanted that streak.

Suh-weet. I'm hoping they take over the emergency television announcement they did earlier this year with Paparazzi.

Yes, it's the Glee cast. SFTTR is flopping too.
Gaga has other promo lined up, too, I'm sure. Also, the New Years thing is a BIG deal. You never know what that might do.

Some of you may say she lost her digital power, well I agree, but it's because of the music she puts out. If the general public doesn't like a song, they won't buy it, no matter how huge that artist is (see Beyonce). I think she still has their interest (A Very Gaga Thanksgiving ratings, A Very Gaga Holidays #4 on iTunes without any banners or promo, MTN views, regular Twitter followers, BTW sales increasing after that Thanksgiving promo ect), and people still buy her albums and go to her tour.
Of course singles success is VERY important, but it's not the scale of how seriously that artist is taken by people. Taylor Swift has never got a #1 @ Hot 100, but she's still the biggest artist in the US. Rihanna, on the other hand, has 11 #1 but couldn't crack 200K on Black Friday week.
I believe that Gaga is here to stay, no matter how ****** this era is (like some of you say), or how people lost interest because of her non-catchy new music. She has built a strong fanbase and somewhat got a stable support from people, I think she won't go anywhere soon no matter how she messed up things this era.

Exactly! She needs to have at least one or two songs that are genuinely appealing, and her sales will be massive. The reason why BR didn't do as well as PF or JD was because of the song being so dark and unique, but still catchy enough to sell 4 million. The barely 3 million that Born This Way (single) sold shows that most of America isn't really 100 percent behind this new direction.

Yeah, dark red update.
Probs will plunge out of the Top 30 before Ellen.

Oh, and another thing. When Scheisse gets released as a single, the video better be no longer than 5 minutes. I don't care if she releases a video of her sitting on a toilet for 5 minutes, but do not ****ing release some long video for that song. At least give us the free views from people listening to the song on YouTube.

Watch Ellen have no effect at all on the song, just like the opening performance at the Grammy Nomication Concert.

No, MTN is actually falling hard percentage wise. It's not just other songs rising.

She can perform on the People's Choice Awards. January 11 isn't too far away... I think it could work as long as there is some promo in between (like, oh I don't know, performing on the X Factor).

Now back to MTN. It's my most favorite song on the album and I really really want it to be one of her signature hits, but at the end of the day, it's just a single. We couldn't do anything if it flops, so meltdowns are not necessary.

The breakdowns are pretty ridiculous. People are only freaking out because it's GaGa, god forbid it's not top 10 in 3 weeks. Every popular artist has multiple songs that underperform at some point in their career, so if MTN does end up underperforming so what?. Just like she will have more hits, she will have some underperformers. Nothing to breakdown about. The only part that bothers me is MTN is her best song, so it would be sad to see it underperform, but why don't we just calm our asses until we actually have proof it won't rebound.

She can ACE the Scheisse era. An on-point remix, a stylish but classy video, and she'll be on the right track.

And don't count on New Years. People aren't exactly running to their computers to purchase songs when they're blitzed 5 minutes before the ball drops. And if they are, I'm sure PRA will be raking in the benefits.

As if.
If MTN can't be a hit, Scheisse is definitely not going to be.
Esp since MTN seems like it's destroying whatever momentum she had left for this album.
