@britneyspears: I'm doing a lot of promo. There will be some major announcements in the next few days.
|
This doesn't make any sense. This was obviously Adam or Larry who tweeted this, because Britney clearly did not care enough to promote, let alone want to tell her fans this. I bet her team planned for lot's of promo and didn't tell Britney until the last minute, and Britney most likely said no, and that's when they canceled everything.

It's embarrassing considering it was a first single, it's an actually amazing song, got such a underrated and overlooked video for it not getting the success it deserved and if given attention and promotion, it actually could of smashed like Womanizer. But leave it to Britney and her team to give a song an extremely early death, not the mention the ****ery they did to the video's release.

well there's absolutely nothing anybody can do about it now. It's all done and over with. But at the end of the day 1.4 million in the US during a first quarter release isn't that bad. TTWE made up for it.

Billboard Awards as promotion for Britney this era? Please! 15 seconds of miming and walking to TTWE looking awkward alongside Nicki was in no way form of promotion. Promotion would of been her performing TTWE in FULL and it being hyped in advance that she would perform. And the VMAs? Oh yeah, cos Beyonce's VMAs tribute did so much for Britney's sales. All she did was sit there, get a ****** short tribute and introduce Beyonce in her speech, again no ****ing promotion in sight.
During the Circus era, she had the VMAs '08, how she owned the night and created the amazing hype around the new comeback era. That alone was more effective than the promotion she did throughout this era, as well as For The Record.
And explain how Madonna does more promotion than her as she's a mom and is 53 years old? And her being a mom doesn't stop her from appearing on the X-Factor or the Grammys for a few hours. They are at night too when her boys could be sleeping, she has all day for them. Doing promotion doesn't mean she will be above from her boys forever like fans make it out to do. She seems to fit a WORLD tour around getting time with her boys easily, why not a few promo performances and appearances?

IMO the conservatorship thing saved her career and helped her to leave behind the scandals and any controverial behavior that was ruining her, so at the end of the day was a positive thing. But I think is enough now and is the perfect it ends.
she needs to be free again
Before the conservatorship Britney was totally into her own music, she wrote and arranged a bunch of tracks on "In the zone", and was the executive producer of "Blackout", things that she clearly can't do at 100% with a conservatorship.
Basically if you have a conservatorship you can't decide alone about any aspect of your life.

Wait for this response: "Boo that TTWE performance was supposed to be only an appearance, not an actual peformance"

Then fans need to get it out of their minds and adding it in as "promotion" for this era to make it look better than the Circus era's promotion, while less performances, was much more flawless, effection promotion and was actually outside the US.

sit your ass down. We weren't talkin to you. And it was still promo. She was ON STAGE at an award show performing her song. Whether it be 20 sec, 4 minutes, or an hour it's still promo.

Why not?
That's the point, britney promoted more WORLDWIDE, which matters more than just performing in the US like britney did this era.
