well the difference Is that was kellys 3rd album vs. A 8th studio album. Artists that have been around for more than 4 studio albums get creative control.

That's what happened with Kelly Clarkson's "My December" and the album flopped. RCA isn't better than Jive.

I doubt britney really wants to record an album full of generic dance songs. I mean listen to the songs she writes, they are NOTHING like the songs on femme fatale. Had britney been put in charge of femme fatale, it would have been completely different.

CH. As if. She's one of the most outspoken people in the industry. At times talking too much. She's specifically spoke about how she "usually writes her own music, but that song spoke to me" - type stuff. She was clearly interested in the song, so I doubt she was avoiding talking bad.

Her favorite songs from this album are Criminal and HATLM, she likes Adele and wants to work with Lenny Kravitz.

Everyday (albeit recorded in 2008) was rumored to be in consideration for the original FF concept.

yup, she's a damn good song writer and actually writes music with substance. Sadly for her the music she writes isn't as mainstream as the label would like.
