No, in an interview a few months ago with one of the many collaborators on Bionic, I don't remember if it was Ladytron, Sia, or LeTigre...whoever it was said there was major label interference throughout the whole album. They said the album would have turned out differently, but the label keep interfering on the "left field" tracks. Go ask the Xtina fans they will serve you the tea. RCA is notorious for label interference.

IIRC, in a lot of interviews before the era started, she said the album would be short, yet we got an 18-track standard edition.

Can you please provide receipts on Christina confirming this?

Well I'm sure Christina was difficult as ****. Britney won't record crap to begin with to be interfered with. So let's not.

There are several interviews where Christina said she chose to record "NMT" herself at the last minute. Unless she lied.

this is true for alot of their artists, but not all. Kelly Clarkson has always had Run in's with RCA. I think this is the first album Kelly got full creative control over though.
Brit has been with RCA since the Circus ERA and Brits been able to do what she's wanted to do for Femme Fatale. Labels don't get in the way of artists like Britney, Madonna, Beyonce, Eminem, etc. Brit will be good.

I hope Brit's next album is more urban pop (i.e. Blackout) because that's where she excels, I know she badly wants to make an album with songs like Mona Lisa, Everytime, etc. but I don't think RCA will be on board for it because it won't be commercial enough, even if she does make the album they won't promote it. That's what happened with Kelly Clarkson's "My December" and the album flopped. RCA isn't better than Jive.

Brit was with jive. Jive might have been UNDER RCA but she hasn't really been with RCA, it's different.

well the difference Is that was kellys 3rd album vs. A 8th studio album. Artists that have been around for more than 4 studio albums get creative control.

And RCA will try to commercialize the next album as much as they can.
I'm just HOPING she isn't coerced into signing a new contract with RCA, but if she is, she better make sure she gets what she wants.
