Honestly, I think it's because of her fans. Her fans buy her singles for filth, which then end up on the radio. The public eventually catches on. This might be a little harsh, but most older people don't look too fondly on Brit Brit. My parents can't be the only ones who think she's an unstable, untalented has-been of a star? She's not America's sweetheart in any way, shape, or form...at least not anymore.

But the fact is though, her relevancy is clearly coming to an end. No one can continue to do what she does. Eventually it will come to a point where she will have to take some control. Whether its actually having some say in her career - or deciding to do interviews, or hug her fans, something will have to change.

Her album sales have decreased by half - and her digital sales are weak.
She could get back up - but she would have to actually work hard.

We're the ones up until 5 am buying singles, radio requests, etc....if I'm going to support someone, then I need to see that support and un-wavering dedication/passion in return.

If anything, Britney is being un-grateful to US.

Sadly, I must admit we fans now live of glimpses of the good old Britney from the past.

Also sadly, but this time for the non-fans/haters, Britney's glimpses outshine pretty much everyone else in the industry, so that's why she remains relevant.

And no matter what happens, you can't take the charisma out of Britney. IMO it's not possible to ignore the force of one honest smile of hers.
