To be honest, I don't think it has anything to do with ITV. Generally BBC is more popular... I think the thing was that it was the return of Jonathan Ross that proved a ratings draw. Whether or not he'll sustain that popularity is in question.

Example: the CBB premiere on Channel 5 was seen by 5.5M, but that dropped to 3.7M the next night.
