I agree on the fact that Rihanna needs to take a break after this. So many people are scared (or hoping )
that if Rihanna takes too long of a break then she will be done for. I just honestly don't see it happening. She's a hitmaker through and through. Out of her like 30 song singles catalog she has 3 flops / underperformers to her name. She ain't goin no where.

7 months is not even a break either. It's not like I said she should go on hiatus. All Im saying is that the next album should not have the year 2011 or 2012 in it's release date.

I want her to branch out more artistically. I want her to record for a while and turn out an AMAZING album. Like she did with Rated R. That's the album she worked the hardest on longest on and it *****. Loud was composed in like, what, 2-3 months? It shows.

I only want her to take a break if she wants one. I like how she approaches it, though. This is her job after all, & most people are doing their job everyday, with no breaks in-between. Almost every person in the world doesn't get long breaks where they don't work. Some celebrities take their "breaks" too far to the point it bothers me.

But that's technically an 8 month break. We can do without 6 months without Rihanna on the radio. Sure it would seem like forever but some people wait a year and a half for new music from the favorite artist. We can wait. It would all be worth it if we get to see her at her best.

Re-release in November, and let the era last for another year.

See where California King Bed is at the beginning of August, and if its not doing ****, then release Cheers August 1st and release the re-release single mid September.

Once its winter 2012, let Rihanna take 6 months off, then start recording and release new album winter 2013, or early 2014.

She's growing more gradually than other artists. I've seen vocal growth from Rated R to Loud alone. I don't think a break is necessary unless she wants it. The public doesn't need a break because she basically hasn't had one for almost 4 years. She barely even had a long break between GGGB & Rated R because Run This Town came out in August 2009.

I think what Rihanna needs, is the chance for the public to miss her. I think part of the reasons her albums dont sell like hot cakes, is because people feel forced to buy them. Rihanna is always playing on radio, shes everywhere.

You need her to be gone, to disappear, for everyone to realize that its so weird not to hear Rihanna on radio, and when she comes back, BOOM the sales will be even bigger.

All those stuff takes 2 months to do fully. In the meantime, she can get inspiration and TRY to do more production wise. If it's even to just write ONE song by herself with no co writers or anything for the album, as a sign to say "yes, my fans. Im growing".

I don't mean she has to release something while on tour! I'll agree I'm not here for that again. But if she wanted to release an album in say, late 2012 or early 2013, I'd be okay with it. I think she can show fans she is growing with or without "time off".
