Seriously. Something just has to change musically. I think that new music comes so fast and there are so many options that it all just becomes THE SAME. It's all mostly the same songs (same themes et cetera) with different lyrics, and there's no true "meat" or deeper meaning. The music is just put out to become popular and make money instead of to give people life and make differences in the world. And that's what Gaga does with every single lyric. There are other artists out there who do the same, but they are few and far between. I commend those artists that write their own songs which later become major hits. However, some are underexposed and don't get the credit they deserve.

I do not see Gaga winning Video of the Year with 'Judas.' I doubt it will be nominated. 'Born This Way' has a stronger chance, but I really do believe Katy (E.T. is ever so popular) or Britney (MTV loves her) are stronger contenders...especially since Gaga swept last year.
The best of this era has not arrived, and I do think there will be another career defining video from this album...And it will be Scheisse! I will not rest until it is released and accompanied by a Francis Lawrence directed video

BTW won't be as commercially successful as The Fame (though I could've told anyone that before I even heard the CD). Her Fame popularity was a once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon that can't and won't be replicated, not to mention that her new direction will polarize people. However, it might be better for in the long run. The type of electro-pop that's dominating now won't last forever. Hell, with the emergence of Adele as a bonafide star, and the amount of urban and country tracks that make it to the upper reaches of iTunes these days, I'd say the trend is already slowing down. If Gaga stuck to her original formula, once that trend passes, where would she go? It's good that she's changing up her style, even though she'll alienate some people in the process.

I love your statements so much, dude.

If Lady Gaga stayed the same (with The Fame), people would think she's a one trick pony and she'd be probably sitting with Kesha + Katy on award shows.
Change is good.

Just something to mention, she shifted the industry to that electro-pop trend with The Fame.

So, it might be possible for Born This Way to do that again.
I wonder what the other girls will bring up next.

Exactly my point. I mean, it doesn't look like it will have the single power that The Fame did with Pokerface and Just Dance (and to a lesser extent LoveGame and Paparazzi) or the surprise factor of being a new artist, but she's the biggest musician and one of the biggest people on the planet. She already has the celebrity that she built with The Fame, and she's looking to shove this album down the world's throat. She's pushing the boundaries of pop in this era, and it's sure to have results.
But I think DJWS said it best:

While you were out trying to make the music she made off The Fame, thinking she was making The Fame v2.0, she went and made some next **** for you to chase for the next 3 years. So, suck on that.

I actually had the same thought as I was writing that. She, along with The Black Eyed Peas, were the main forces behind the shift to electropop. The BEP tried to copy that same formula with The Beginning, and it while it's certainly not a flop, it didn't fare too well among critics or fans (and I say this as a huge fan of the BEP). BTW may be polarizing, but she would've fared much worse with The Fame (Monster) 2.0, even if that's what people claim they want. I don't think it's a coincidence that Judas, which is basically BR 2.0, has been her worst received single this era.

But I agree, she had to evolve. That's why people have come to expect so much from her.
