Commercially, I think it will do well with all the promotion (even though it leaked) because after all, it is Gaga. Another thing is that it is (honestly) her best work to date and even though there aren't very many typical "Top 40" singles, I see the public warming up to the album/singles.
Fanatically, it has already had a huge impact. I have only encountered a few fans who don't like the direction she went or whatever, but it's the price you pay: lose a few, gain a lot. I personally am in love with the album and I think it will have a long-lasting appeal (longer than anything out in the past two to three years besides other Gaga albums).
I honestly think this album is going to change music. People will embrace it or despise it, but that's always how it is when things change...for better or for worse, but this would be one of those "for better" cases.
