And undeserved #1s? Please. Her label took advantage of an opportunity just like any other of our favorite's labels could do if they so pleased. And it is a bit hypocritical to say the discount is a cheap move when Capitol released a new remix as a separate single with Kanye West. Both moves were so smart & were beneficial to both, but calling one a gimmick & one not is not right.

Which makes them undeserved since she hacked the system for those number 1s

I just wouldnt be celebrating if Rihanna had 4 HUGE #1's this era, and had such lackluster album sales. Im the type of person who wants to push Rihanna to do the best she can, and thats why I find it weird you guys celebrate. Its great she has 4 #1's, but she might not even sell 20k this week?
Anyway....I think S&M is gonna pass Born This Way tomorrow...

On the same album sales level. Katy is outselling her singles by miles.
I'm just responding to Navy because they keep running here and saying a lot of "things" boo. Don't get mad at me.

The only person having more single success than Katy in the US is GaGa.
I haven't noticed a ridiculous amount of E.T. shade & certainly not in the past few days. There is generally good support around it. I see more of the Navy either sharing support for both or just S&M. Very few have had harsh words for E.T. Every fanbase has its trolls, sometimes the trolls sadly eclipse the great members within each, even though the good members always outnumber the bad. It's a shame really.

Hun, the remixes count separately and sold 50k, so did NOTHING for GGGB.
Reloaded included Disturbia, IINSYFA and TAB so it couldnt have come AFTER 8 singles.
IINSYFA was a shared single, and did nothing.
So really it had 3 #1's and 7 Top 20's. Thats fine for almost 3x platinum.
Beyonce had 7 singles with IISF and sold similarly. So...

Katy's at 1,3 million. And will probably sell 1,5-1,7 without a re-release. And less singles. This and last year album sales were the lowest.
Good Girl Gone Bad had a lackluster US album sales. Everyone knows it. Don't try to deny it.

4 #1's to make 1.5 =/= 1 #1, 1 Top 20 hit and 2 Top 10 hits to make 1,100,000.
So what SHOULD it have sold?
Then IASF must have lackluster sales too.

1. E.T. (feat. Kanye West) - Katy Perry
3. Born This Way - Lady GaGa

"California Gurls" became the first song to top the 300,000 mark in digital sales more than once in 2010 with 318,000 and 359,000 copies sold in the first and second week of June, respectively.

Within seven weeks of its release, "California Gurls" sold over two million downloads, which is the second fastest pace to do so in digital history along with Flo Rida's "Right Round".
