I'm a Bernie stan, but I agree that he's a bad candidate. He has a lot of **** from the past that could come back to haunt him. But right now he's the only one who can appeal to those Trump voters, which is sad because he'll be pushing 80 in 2020. Even Warren will be 71. I'm not saying they shouldn't make a run for it and I'm not being ageist, but it's worrying that the two most notable voices on the left who can transform the party in a positive direction will be past 70 in 2020.

Plus many of the younger politicians who agree with them are not the most exciting candidates. I was thinking about Jeff Merkley but he is a boring speaker and the base needs to be energized.

We really need somebody to step up over the next year or so for 2020.

I honestly think Biden was the only one (recognizable) who could've won but we don't know how people would've received him so it's just a guess at this point but he definitely would've gather up the white working class and minorities, not sure about the millennials and the whole "establishment" thing tho.

It's not about balancing work and life. Everyone has those despite some people's wildest imaginations but then again others are free to have other definitions of the word based on having lived much longer than I have and thus acquired more wisdom.

I don't think Bernie would've made the mistake of not visiting states *sigh*, but he would've barely squeaked a win if he did get those three we missed.

We had no runaway victor this round - we have a coalition while GOP is more about one or two core groups so it's easier for them to turn out all at once. That Obama touch wasn't here this time. Obama inspired millenials like Bernie would've but at the same time Sanders would be bashed to kingdom come - "socialist!".

If Bernie didn't raise taxes on the middle class and also exposed Trump's tax policy for what it was then I think he could have effectively countered the calls though.

But Biden isn't exactly as unfavorable as Clinton and he would reach out more to the WWC. Running on Obama's glorified third term isn't a sole reason for Hillary losing. People still see her as a separate entity with her own messes.

Liberals and conservatives need to take note.

Just be nicer about your terms because we all dedicate alot of time and effort to discussing these things...some of us have careers and some don't but people shouldn't judge.

For instance, I have a cemented career. I'm teleworking from home right now. We are in between projects and will be this way until January.

I would never call anyone a loser even though I'm blessed to get paid to work from home and have my work computer up while simultaneously discussing politics, checking twitter and listening to youtube videos.

Even when you have alot and are blessed, it's important to remain humble and attack the argument -- not the person.

Ronald Reagan's son Ron Reagan should run in 2020. He supported Bernie in the primary and is very liberal.

It would also throw off conservatives who loved his father.
