This thread should be closed
- he already has coverage in LGBT media as has been proven with links
- his desperate attention-seeking ass released in a really gimmicky way over the weekend when media are not at work
- this thread is another example of minorities desperate to play the victim. The boy-wolf mentality is damaging to more serious issues as it makes the GP takes them less seriously.
Oh c'mon I'd rather listen a fart on the loop than his mess, If every song on the album wasn't slow, boring and sounding like each other he'd get some praise, stop playing everything on race
We have bigger issues than Frank ocean's (who is not a high profile celebrity, never had a top 10 hit, not many people know him) not getting much publicity
Why is it so important to be recognized by gay publications?
Especially when he got widespread acclaim by the mainstream media. I understand that there's this need for validation for the black LGBT+ community but relying solely on gay media is about as regressive as you can get. And I don't see the need for it when he doesn't even apply a label for himself other than the convenience when it suits him.
Plus with gay publications like OUT Magazine, it's not really the best spotlight since a lot of those publications are almost superficial in nature anyway. And their editorials sort of read like an upscaled Tumblr post.
If the gay world can recognize the straight guys who pander to gays by showing off their bodies like strippers they can recognize a black guy opening doors wide open for other gays to walk through in the future.

Is that the reason why he will open up with around 200 or 250k next week?
Jeezus, why are people always finding something to bitch about!? I'm sorry, but Frank Ocean is overrated af. His last album was forgettable and only remembered because he used his sexuality as a publicity stunt.
i dont see perfume genius slaying the charts... so?
Frank Ocean is more like those "let the music speak for itself" artists.. staying low profile...
and he's fine with his sexuality and the way he expresses it...
