This seems to be the general consensus. Which sucks because I was really looking forward to it.
And you already know how I feel about BVS. Still seeing it Tuesday, though. At least Margot was great, so I've read.
It wasn't that bad. Don't really take the critics or pretentious ATRL seriously.
It was entertaining, engaging. Yes it had flaws, but they weren't the size of a black hole.
Also I think the whole RT score being low is a result of the limited range (like Taylor Swift) they have. You can either rate a movie as good or bad and more critics would lean towards bad, but it was genuinely in the middle
And WOO! YAS! TOTW was great. The transition from Sittin Up In my Room to Sittin on top of the world
But girl. You remember the transition from Learn The Hard Way to Almost Doesn't Count? I can't find that ANYWHERE online but I can't listen to the songs without listening to the other anymore because the transition is THAT good.
Yeah I liked the transition of both songs.
She really did show growth in that record.
A true artist.

Yeah. I'm a firm believer in that Mariah didn't make R&B music until 1995 for Daydream. Literally everything before it was Pop. She had some gospel influence on Emotions but it wasn't R&B ya know?
And Whitney's music, to me, is just so bleh for the most part. It's so interesting to see the comments of these old videos now. There's never hate for it and people always say "I miss these times." Then comment on current videos and say "Ugh this song is so bad. What happened to Whitney Houston & Mariah Carey"
Yeah most of her songs were R&B until Daydream.
Maybe 3 songs were R&B before: Vision of love, Anytime you need a friend and maybe one more.
I agree.
the only Whitney songs that i use are saving all my love for you & so emotional from the 80s and the singles from her last hit album: My love is your love, It's not right but it's ok and I learned from the best/heartbreak hotel.
Never big on the bodyguard soundtrack. My parents took me but her 80s and 90s stuff was moreso what I associate with my parents.
I wasn't really into most of her songs but my mother favors her so I always had a soft spot for Legend Whitney
Lying on my side, you were half-awake ,
And your face was tired and crumpled.
If I had a camera I'd snap you now,
'Cause there's beauty in every stumble.
We are out of practice, we're out of sight,
On the edge of nobody's empire.
And if we live by books and we live by hope,
Does that make us targets for gunfire?
A lot of Rihanna's songs are hard to classify within a certain genre. Hard, Red Lipstick, Phresh off the Runway are perfect examples of hood and poppy as hell in the same time.
Her genre versatility is insane. I don't know how she does it.
Happy face is the reason I'm successful. Destiny's child serving biblical verses and sermons for the youth.
I get bootylicious was a gimmicky song that was funny and cute for the moment but my goodness Fancy; Happy face nasty girls were better quality single ready songs.
Especially the first two.

R&B???
Rihanna definitely had R&B on her first album.
But most of it was carribean/dancehall inspired tracks.
With her 2nd album she had more pop friendly but she included 1 or 2 r&b tracks.
What do you consider Final goodbye off of A girl like me? I think it's r&b
willing to wait off of her debut is r&b, too.
I don't know if there was another R&B track off of her first two albums though
