Yeah People weren't here for her taking away the good girl image. The "grown" people didn't see her as an adult and the "children" just wanted the girly rasp/Moesha back.
AND OMG! Girl, everything about that song from top to bottom is perfection. The vocals are GODLY.
I ain't even gonna... LIEEE-II-EEE
Yeah, She shaded him so hard after Human lol, and rightfully so. He kinda gave her 2nd class treatment after she gave him his name and got him so much business. DC3 wanted a "TBIM" so bad and they got it with Say My Name.
I'm 10000% certain I Thought was supposed to be the 3rd single, but they went with a ballad at the time because of her pregnancy, even though she couldn't promote it.
Angel in Disguise was actually the promo single. They sent it to radios in order to see how the sound would do and how people would like that kinda Brandy and it was received with open arms. It actually went top 10 on R&B Airplay with ZERO promo or effort. Seriously such a legend.

The video was on point. It looked so fresh back in 2002. This could be riiiiiiiiiight.
Take me to church Brandy
I remember even brandy wanted He is because she felt it was better than releasing a pop friendly song like I thought. I was like girl...that's what 4th singles are for.
Angel in Disguise deserved to be a real single.
It needed a classic 90s video. They could have done without remixing that last single with shauntae??? or something.
Almost doesn't count - what kind of midtempo classic.
The boy is mine - an R&B classic
Have you ever - a pop balladeer classic
Top of the world - a novelty fun little dance track classic.
I like you don't know me like you used to know baby (forget the actual title) but not before Angel in disguise.
A legit 5 classic singles from one era and Angel in disguise closed the era.
Welp, no more use in crying over spilled milk
