I work with a lot of children and teenagers and they can't recognize Britney Spears when she appears on English textbooks. Majority of the new generation has no clue who she is.

I'd say Lady Gaga is missing there.

Yeah, I'm one of 6 sibling and only me and my 24 year old sister and 18 year old sister know her. My 13 yr old brother, 10 year old brother and 6 year old sister have no clue who she is.

I think the most famous females are one who are popular all over the globe, especially in heavily populated places it's more difficult to be popular: India, China, Africa. Also, being not only popular, but having impact. Getting on the news and reaching people who don't normally pay attention to pop culture: ex: Britney in the 00's, and Bey w/ the Formation Controversy, etc. Being at such a huge peak for a long time (longevity) is important too.

Michael Jackson was photographed from 1969 when he rose to prominence through 2009, when he died one of the most famous human beings ever. Diana had press so intense it wound up contributing to her death. You have zero evidence to put Britney ahead of either - what's worse, you're claiming she's the most photographed person because of her meltdown era, when she had been famous for what, 6 or 7 years? Barack Obama is very likely far more photographed than Brit, too.
