I kinda agree, but I think older people still know who Britney is in other countries, but probably not the younger generation of kids so I can see why she didn't make the list. |
Britney's last monster hit was in 2013. I mean, you'd have to literally be five to have not heard a Britney smash on the radio 
Britney has moved more album equivalents than the women on this list sans Madonna and Celine (if she's on there).
As far as female musicians go, the most famous living ones are:
1. Madonna
2. Celine
3. Mariah
4. Barbra
5. Britney
And the fact that Enya, Shania, Aretha and Janet, who have had decades of relevance and huge followings, are left off while Taylor Swift, who's been globally famous for under four years, and the likes have made the list is just

Why the hell is Enya included in there  I mean she has a dedicated band of followers, but she has nothing in common with the others apart from being a musician with a vagina. She's more of an almost-meme like Sinead O'Connor, in my opinion.

I can't talk for everyone, but based on my country (Brazil), the only ones who are known for every single person here are Beyoncé, Madonna and Angelina Jolie. Maybe Rihanna and Adele too.

People above 40 barely know who Taylor/Rihanna are.

MJ and Diana are not more photographed than Britney. Britney took that title in 2007 and it's more of an honorific claim (the media called Diana The Most Photographed Woman On the Planet starting in like 1997). You can look it up. I'm sure Kim will snatch it at some point, but at least Britney's pictures weren't all taken by her own camera.

Enya is insanely popular globally. She's sold some 80M albums and can move 1M units without any hits And those are numbers 7-9 of females with the most albums sold (and I threw in Aretha due to her importance in American culture).
Sinead had her moment with the Pope and an iconic smash, but she has barely sold 20M albums WW, if that. They are not on the same level.

So you truly believe that Britney Spears has been photographed more times than Diana, Princess of Wales, or even Queen Elizabeth II, at 90 years of age. I thought you were somewhat delusional with regards to Brit but this definitely tops any of your previous posts.
GWR states a Korean band holds the record having been pictured more than 500 million times. Now.. Britney in the United States is the world's leading woman? Well ****, why hasn't she been made a Dame yet? Who knew she was such an important figure in the history of mankind.

Do you not have Google? Do you not understand what an honorific title is?
Diana was famous for 18 years and cameras/paparazzi culture was still growing. Elvis, Frederick Douglass, Hitler, Michael Jackson, Marilyn Monroe, Britney Spears, Princess Diana, etc. have all been given the title, with Britney being the most recent. Obviously Kim will surpass them all thanks to the availability of cameras now, but the last one to be labeled as such was Britney. Why wouldn't I mention that when someone claims she isn't "famous?"
The fact that other posters have to resort to comparing Princess Diana and Michael Jackson instead of the women in the OP really proves my point that Britney more than deserves to be listed in the OP, huh?

That Korean band is TVXQ, or DBSK, and if you knew anything about the size of their market, you'd know that claim is BS. Even if that was true, how would that negate my statement that Britney belongs among these 15 women?
You shot yourself in your own damn foot mentioning TVXQ because they debuted on a Britney Spears/BoA special. How would that prove Britney isn't famous by mentioning huge global celebrities she launched worldwide? What the **** is even your point to begin with?
And your embarrassing meltdown over photographs. What connection is there between royalty and pictures being taken? You seem so damn hurt and I'm wondering if Britney Spears personally drowned your dog in photos of her or something. If you want to prove she doesn't belong in a "most famous list" despite girls with half the global appeal/music career that she has had like Taylor Swift and Adele, then throw down some actual receipts, sis
