But IT is completely different. Trust me, the industry is booming and IT people are making that much money with less than 5 years of experience. I just had an interview the other day for an entry level IT position paying $65,000 plus annual raise of 6-20%. Considering you'll be making 20% more every year, it'll only take three years to break the $100,000 mark.
And on a Canadian side of things... 892,679 public sector officials make $100,000 and more this year. That's great considering Canada has only 30,000,000 people, and that's only the public sector.
Only thing to consider is that Canadian dollar is 0.75 of the US dollar, so we can adjust accordingly.
Here is the "sushine" list to disclose everyone in the public sector making $100,000 and above. All of my professors are there.

Hey no biggie. I know you meant well and you are not afraid to support trump so I respect that.
My cousin who I mentored in the game is in IT works at accenture or whatever.
He's going to be making 100k by the time he turns 27 in a few year and I love it.
You want the people that come up after you to reach milestone's quicker.
They work you like a dog in IT because there is a major demand and not enough people.
But yes yay for IT people.
I'm comfortable with my career that's challenging but we get pockets of downtime (July/Nov/Dec)
I only work 40 hours a week and telework 3 of the 4 days I work.
I'll probably be around 140k in a few years and max out around 160k+ way later in my career.
It's a blessing.

I'm open to learning...I can only go based on my perspective.
I'm excited for Clinton vs Trump, though.
I know whoever I chose I will have a passionate decision to make instead of choosing the lesser of evils...even if both are lowkey evil

But even with IT that's not the norm, that's just how it is in the best places with the proper degrees and qualifications. I'm going to be a Data Analytics and Information Systems double major, and I expect my entry level salary to be right about there - and these are two high-demand majors and I've already mentioned my excellent physical location.

Well well well...I don't think the IRS would agree.
I do think everyone who is living in this country SHOULD pay taxes.
Yes tax the hardworking wealthy so that unmotivated lower income individuals can "get out of poverty" after abusing the system with handouts.
Because as soon as these people get more money they use it responsibly. Stats show the consumption for lower income individuals have historically been managed responsibly
I'll end with this...during Obama's presidency there is still 55% of black americans without a job.
So let's see what Clinton or Trump has to offer.

People have been using this lesser of two evils for a year now, and I low-key agreed. But as time has gone on, and I have studied Hillary's record and views, I can finally say she is an inspiration and I have not a single doubt in my mind that she would be an amazing president and that she is an amazing, often misunderstood woman.

This. Hillary isn't a perfect candidate, and I disagree with her on some things but I know she would be a great president and would likely leave behind a strong legacy. Even if she doesn't win she's already left one behind. I'm very, very confident in her.

Before we get way off-topic.. here's my last reply.
Yeah, I'm glad to be in this field. I worked hard for it though, I have accumulated a lot of debts, but that's fine. The Canadian government is EXTREMELY lenient on us students. There's a repayment assistance that'll allow 5 years before you can start making payment. And only 1-2% simple interest rate. PLUS you get to reimbursed half of that interest paid, so you'll actually end up paying 1% something in total.
The next POTUS needs to make sure that post-secondary education is more affordable to the students without giving it away to everyone for free. I think Hillary's plans to increase grants than to abolish the tuition fee entirely is the best bet.
And that's great for your friend! Accenture is amazing.. but dddd at every IT professional turning into consulting.... But that's where the money is right now.
And why only settle for $100,000+ job for the rest of my life, why not go all the way and achieve endless possibilities! IT offers business opportunities, especially with the booming IT bubble we're in right now. Everyone's throwing millions of dollars investing on IT startups.. I want to get my foot on the door, sell my company for billions, just in time for the bubble to burst.
I am to lazy to extract the sources, but there has never been a perfect time to create your own IT company than today.

While I'm proud of Bernie tonight, he needs to start winding down his campaign. Not to the point of dropping out, but he needs to stop attacking the inevitable nominee. He should stay in the race to gain more leverage at the convention and in the general.
I'd really like to see Bernie as Hillary's VP though. I think they'd keep each other in check, and if something happens to Hillary (indictment, impeachment) he's there to take over. I think having him as her VP would also bring in most Bernie supporters. There would be a few in the #NeverClinton movement, but I think the presidency would be a sure thing for the Dems.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Someone on Reddit brought up a very interesting and crazy idea.
Basically, if Bernie doesn't get the nomination, he runs as an independent. He campaigns like he would in any other general election. After the GE, if he gets enough electors to win, he'll be the next president. If he doesn't get enough to win and no one has 270, he'll get his electors to vote for Hillary over him.
There are faithless elector laws in some states, but as long as the laws don't invalidate the votes it would be fine. Also, I believe Texas and South Dakota have sore loser laws for the presidency. Jane would run in Bernie's place in those states (yay loopholes!).
For the record, I don't think this plan would work. I think three alternate scenarios could happen: it would encourage people to vote for Trump giving him the presidency, the electors might not vote for Clinton, or Hillary might get 270 without Bernie's help. Knowing how badly the Cruz-Kasich alliance backfired, I'd go with the first option.

Who in the world would've thought that Kasich would last longer than Cruz, Rubio, Jeb, and Carson?

To be clear, you described Cruz there. Trump is pretty close behind him though.
I actually respected Cruz's confrontation with Trump supporters. He was extremely respectful, even though the Trump supporters were being abrasive. Still wouldn't make me vote for him though (clearly, as I voted for Bernie).

In Bernie's defense, he was gaining on her even before the first debate. Kasich was last/2nd to last the whole time.

I wonder if Trump being the nominee now will get the voters to finally vote for her, and those Bernie states coming up will vote Hillary.

Yes. If you work at McDonalds and buy an iPhone 6, with a 80 dollar phone bill and go out to eat with friends everyday...you can't complain about your wage. People need PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. The government should not be subsidizing others bad decisions (which most of it likely is; in cases of real need we have programs like SNAP, housing first etc. to help when proven needed).
Bernie and Hillary want to baby people. Sorry, learning responsibility with your finances is a life lesson. The government needs to let people fail and figure out how to do things the right way on their own. I did it, millions of others do it, so let's promote responsibile financial behavior rather than just forcing businesses to pay low quality work with high salaries (of course this is wildly populist; raise the wages I earn for working a register for a few hours? Sure!)
