It generates more publicity (I've already seen articles starting about it) to Kesha's case/situation.
It helps Kesha with any legal feels she has to pay (considering it has been years since she's had a single).
It puts pressure on Sony knowing that the biggest artist in the game right now is actively supporting and funding the artist they are trying to get revenge on and puts their interests in a negative light.
