We're all on ATRL because we stan at least one artist. I don't get why being passionate about 5H is any different than being passionate about any other artist

5H should disband. Go away. Come back as DC3/3H. Only Normani, Dinah and Lauren are necessary. The other girls throw off the aesthetic. Which is why they aren't selling they look a mess, they're brand is a mess.

I don't even like this group, but I want this to happen for the pure saltiness of her bandmates and their idiot fans who think having a side-project is somehow an act of disloyalty.

You and a lot of other people seem to have this idea that if I see some sort of upside to this project, it must automatically mean I see no wrong in Camila. I think Camila was wrong to release this song and I wish she hadn't done it - there, I bolded it so you and anybody else skimming this post can see for sure. My point is that this one song which, despite the co-lead credit, is mostly considered to be a Shawn Mendes song featuring a girl from Fifth Harmony shouldn't be considered some massive permanent betrayal to the group that warrants the rest of the group to immediately cut their relationship with her and start making petty comments about wanting to pursue their own solo careers soon too. The fact that the other four girls clearly can't see the potential benefit that this song can indirectly bring to 5H means that they too care about themselves as individuals and how much attention they get, even if they're not as open about that as Camila is.
Is Camila at fault here? YES. But is she the only one at fault here? NO. If 5H breaks up over this, it will be on all five of them, not just Camila. THAT's my opinion on this, and that's the last I'm going to comment on this topic since this discussion keeps going in circles.

I said "Worth It" was a huge radio hit, but that they began establishing themselves on radio with "BO$$" and continued to grow from there.
___
I'm not saying that the other girls are innocent in all of this, but at the end of the day Camila is the catalyst that started this whole thing. Zayn leaving 1D brought them a lot of press and helped their latest album outdo the previous one, but should they be thanking him for leaving them in the middle of a tour and just flat out bailing on them to pursue his solo career? Should the other girls have to suck it up and pretend to be happy because their bandmate made a stupid decision? I love Reflection and think that these girls have (had) potential, but they really could learn a thing or two from Little Mix. I'm not trying to incite a stan war here, but Little Mix don't just talk about putting the group first, they actually do it. You would never see one of the Little Mix girls doing a solo project because they know how it would hurt the group dynamic. A solo song might be beneficial for the entire group in the short-run, but it is detrimental for the group dynamic in the long-run. The whole group will be to blame if 5H disbands, but Camila fired the first shot.

Why is it detrimental though? Because it brought out their latent jealousy?
Their response to the situation is where the mess lays.

I side with 5H over LM, but it's so clear that the reason 5H are not connecting with the GP is because their internal issues are shining through. Little Mix was put together too, but I never looked a them as 4 solo artists in competition with each other. 5H look like 4 solo artists, they look miserable, they look desperate and Camillas actions are only making things worse.

True. Danity Kane. Realness.
The side music projects. Solo promo. Not putting the group first. Camila is the new Dawn w/o the talent to back it up. Mess.

She knew it was going to cause upset and did it anyway, so that's her putting herself before the group, so the mess lays with Camilla once again.

When your bandmates/"sisters"/"bestfriends" aren't happy with something, and it's messing up the dynamic of things and the bond you have, yet you still decide to pursue it, then that's definitely not a sense of loyalty or selflessness.

People getting mad over Camila doing a solo project is just ridiculous. Why should she pass up an opportunity? Do you think Shawn Mendes should have asked all of Fifth Harmony to collaborate? No, because that's silly. If an artist only wants to collaborate with one of them, then they have the right to decide to do so.
Say one of them got a part on a tv show/movie, should the person not go through with it because the rest of 5H can't be in it as well? RIDICULOUS.
The only thing this whole drama shows me is that Normani can't keep it professional. She's always making a stank face in their recent interviews and she makes it obvious that there's a problem.
Keep it together 'mani. Your bitterness is showing.

Camilla is Aubrey, egotistical, polarising, underhanded and is about to get her lights knocked out Normani one of these days. Bookmark me.
