Agreed. I'm positive they will expand on her in the next two films, though. I can't see them passing up the opportunity to work with a character like that. There's so much they can do there. JJ even said that she was his favorite character, and I don't think he would say that if she really doesn't amount to anything. I feel like this is just the beginning for her. But I would also like to see them expand on her character in literature and other stuff, too, because they'll only expand on her so much in the films, because they obviously have to focus more on Rey, Finn, and Kylo Ren.

omg YES! when i first saw who was going to play him i was like WTF is this?

then when he appeared he looked so tall and good and I was all hell yeah but then he was about to take his helmet off and i was like hell no, i don't want to see your face

but then he took it off and he looked so good, i was actually slayed. and his voice is really nice too.

so i've come to the conclusion that the gross mustache ruins his face

-Lando Calrissian is an iconic character he needs to come back.

-It's obvious Captain Phasma is going to have more than one scene, im here for her becoming the female Bobba Fett (with more presence, come thru destructive reina)

-I really hope Finn isn't descent from past Star Wars characters, that would be redundant.

-Kylo Ren is missing that energy and maliciousness that past villains brought to the Star Wars movies, whenever I saw Darth Vader/Emperor/Maul I felt triggered, I aint feeling that with ha.

I love how this movie isn't as serious as the prequels, it doesn't drag at all, every minute of this movie is amazing.

Adam Driver can look very good sometime and make you think he could get it

Then he can look like this 3OH!3 mess

And then he can look like a tryhard nerd attempting to do a Star Wars fanfiction short

He had much more potential and his characterization in the movie is weak. He actually looks like Harrison Ford in his teen age, but lord, Kylo's face was a mess.

I wish Lupita's character/Maz was from a different species though. She looked too much like an orange with glasses the first time I watched the movie, I hope my perception of her changes things once I see it again tomorrow.

I loved the film but I need to see it again. I enjoyed it but the movie critique within me was analyzing every little detail. Next time i'm going to see it in IMAX and just enjoy without analyzing everything since I already know whats going to happen.

Mixture of Ep 7 spoilers/background info and me drawing conclusions from that to guess at Ep 8 plots. Just incase someone doesn't want to read that!:

WAIT at the guy who played Obi Wan Kenobi on the (canon) animated series Clone Wars confirming on Twitter (@JATactor -links don't spoiler tag so avoiding someone clicking it) he recorded the "REY!" during Rey's vision but was replaced by Ewan Mcgregor in the final cut.

Just got back from watching it, here are my thoughts:

I believe that I would have had to be a massive fan to be wowed by the Force Awakens. I found it to be only okay, probably because I'm only casually invested in the franchise. There were beautiful effects and stunning scenery, a vast improvement from the tacky cgi of the prequels. I thought there were far too many winks and nods to the audicence, like "Remember this? From the original films!!!" And generally there were far too many parallels with A New Hope. It felt like a 2015 retread, and I hope episode seven has a less derivative premise.
John Boyega was good, Daisy Ridley was weak but then improved, i enjoyed Hans and Leia's scenes the most. And that character dying was a great twist. Overall it was a good start but it needs a sequel, because there are too many unanswered questions.
