I am not afraid to use that word. I am in no way shape or form racist and if a black person heard me (and got offended) I would apologise to them swiftly. I think the "N" word is thrown around way to much these days and it's definantly lost its "impact" that it once had.

But if you truly understood music, you'd understand why sometimes those words are necessary. A song relies on the melody and flow of the track, without those syllables on beats, it sounds really ****ing stupid. I'ma need a replacement.

We all know how AWFUL clean edits of songs are.

A "bleep" does not and will not ever be a good cover up for a word with two syllables.

The censoring of a song with the n-word and the actual singing of it are two different kettles of fish to me. We're talking about the latter.

So when you're singing, just don't sing anything? Is "flow" really that important to you that you'd rather maintain it with a racial slur than to just have the respect to not say anything? Hell, if it's in a rap, just use the break to take a breath or something

Except clearly songs about trapping in the hood, talking about black issues, made by black people, using black slang, about their lives, struggles, etc. are very obviously not marketed toward or created to appeal to white people. Disclaimers are only for idiots who need the obvious stated to them.

Even though I'm biracial I was taught to never use the word and I wasn't allowed to listen to rap music for a very long time so now when I'm bopping to Shanghai I just don't say anything.
Honestly, If you're white and you say it in public you're being disrespectful while I don't think anyone white (or any other race besides black) should be saying that if you're in private or with your friends I guess it's okay...
