If you have the time to spare, and you're fascinated by the concept of the film being filmed over 12 years, then I'd suggest giving it a watch. Even though the storyline wasn't all that great, the unique way the cast seamlessly grows in front of your eyes was very captivating. You begin to feel a connection to the characters, as they develop in a way you've never witnessed in a theatrical film before. That was easily my favourite part. Anytime something happens that could hurt one of the characters, you find yourself being like, "um can that person not be so mean to Mason? I've known him since he was a kid, and he's a nice guy!"
It's very long though, and kind of drags at certain points.
