Roller Coaster, one of my fave country songs this year.
Very different indeed Pills N Potions is nice but it was hard for me to really get into
There are many more country songs to come Thanks for the comment!

I think Bang Bang was still slaying and radio was resistant to play Burnin' Up

Nicki has three more entries coming up Thanks for the comment,
100. Shakira – Loca por Ti
99. Turnover – Flicker and Fade
98. Tove Lo – Talking Body
97. Jason Derulo feat. Snoop Dogg – Wiggle
96. One Direction – Steal My Girl
95. Nicki Minaj – Pills N Potions
94. Jessie J feat. 2 Chainz – Burnin' Up
93. Usher feat. Nicki Minaj – She Came to Give It to You
92. MØ – Pilgrim
91. Luke Bryan – Roller Coaster
90. Maroon 5 – Maps "I was there for you... / But I wonder where were you? / When I was at my worst / Down on my knees / And you said you had my back / So I wonder where were you? / When all the roads you took came back to me / So I’m following the map that leads to you"
What the hell kind of lead single is this? Maroon 5 released Maps as the first single to preview their fifth studio album, V, and it flopped everywhere. Like Roller Coaster before it, Maps is cute and all, but it barely has any substance. It was catchy for maybe a week or two at most, but its impact was extremely limited. Needless to say, Maps is no Moves Like Jagger. Maroon 5 redeemed themselves just a bit with their second single, Animals, which appears later on my Top 100 of 2014. To distract you all from the non-event of this song, I have strategically used this gif of Adam Levine to quench your thirst get y'all to comment.
89. OneRepublic - Love Runs Out "I'll be your light, your match, your burning sun... / I got my mind made up, man, I can't let go... / 'Til the love runs out, 'til the love runs out"
I wish I could have gotten into this song more. Love Runs Out is amazing, much better than Counting Stars. I loved it from the first listen, and I never got tired of it. However, I also never really listened to it a lot, which contributes to its low ranking (actually matching the rank of Ke$ha’s Crazy Kids on my Top 100 of 2013).
88. Miranda Lambert & Carrie Underwood - Somethin' Bad "Stand on the bar, stomp your feet, start clappin' / Got a real good feeling something bad about to happen"
Country queens Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood collaborated on my #88 song of 2014, Somethin’ Bad. This marks the first entry ever for both of these artists- I’ve liked Carrie Underwood for years, but I disliked Miranda until early this year. As I said earlier, country has definitely made a comeback. Somethin’ Bad is a great collaboration, but Carrie outshines Miranda on the track. Carrie’s voice is incredible while Miranda’s voice tends to fade into the background at times.
87. Hilary Duff - Chasing the Sun "On my pursuit of happiness / I realized that more means less / If I got love, then I am blessed, oh I know... / Won't miss out on the fun / Gotta get it while our hearts are young / I'm chasing the sun"
Hilary Duff’s semi-comeback began in 2014 with the highly-anticipated single Chasing the Sun. I like it. It’s cute, and Hilary is cute in the video. Unfortunately, it’s nothing special, and it barely registered anywhere. Like Carrie and Miranda, this is Hilary’s first entry ever on my year-end countdown. I’m hoping for much more success for Hilary in 2015.
86. Azealia Banks - Chasing Time "My attitude is bitchy but you already knew that... / 'Cause I'm born to dance in the moonlight... / Am I chasing time? / 'Cause I wasted all mine on you"
Queen of Rap Azealia Banks makes her first and only appearance at #86 on my Top 100 of 2014 with Chasing Time. After previously appearing at #39 with 212 on my Top 100 of 2012, and at #22 with Venus on my Top 100 of 2013, this is Azealia’s lowest appearance yet- but that can be owed to the late-2014 release of this single. Azealia’s tweets aside, she has remarkable talent- Broke With Expensive Taste is an amazing album.
I like Hilary, but Chasing the Sun is one of the worst songs which was released this year. Starting her comeback with a weak song is not a good strategy. I think RCA wanted to deliver a bit JT with it. I mean, Mirrors is far far far better than Suit & Tie. And Suit & Tie was also a success because people wanted JT to be back. That's why I hate RCA.

Chasing Time
tbh it was messy for Hilary to try to relaunch her music career while filming Younger
Hopefully RCA knows what to do with Hilary in 2015
at least All About You had a decent amount of promo in Australia and slayed there
I don't want to like 1R but I've heard Love Runs Out a couple of times on radio and it is fun.
Chasing Time grew on me in the context of the album, an effortless bop.
Somethin' Bad is cute!
I like all of these, but Somethin Bad is my favorite followed by Chasing Time
I liked Chasing The Sun at first but it fell flat for me later
Love Runs Out is a bop, not as good as CS though
Chasing the Sun is still a bop for me I think Counting Stars is really overrated, sorry

Really? I think Chasing Time is the most radio friendly song on BWET, but the songs on the album like Ice Princess, 212, JFK, Soda, and Yung Rapunxel are much better

Thank you. I really do like Counting Stars but somewhere along the way to becoming a huge crossover hit it got extremely and horridly overrated, I was even hesitant to listen to 1R again. Their best material is still on Waking Up though imo.
