How I do in this season will certainly determine if I want to compete again next season, or want some kind of judging/guest judging role (not meaning this as in GIVE ME A JUDGING ROLE, a haha I really don't. Just expressing interest ). If I get eliminated this round, I will most likely give it another run next season. But I've got the blog to look after, which I haven't been posting lyrics on since I began this competition.

I'm feeling the exact same way. I felt so confident when sending it. Now I'm regretting it so badly.
Although I feel the opposite about the type of song. Thankfully I haven't had to write meaningless songs (bonus round excluded) because I struggle with them. I've always had the opportunity to have a little bit of personal meaning, or just meaning, behind the song.

Right? I'm extremely pleased with what I wrote for this round but I didn't wanna make you guys feel lower than you already do. Lord only knows how much I've gone through that moment of weakness. Just remember: without having the bad times, you won't be able to fully grasp any sense of the good times. I'll keep y'all in my thoughts.

its not that I have no self confidence it's just that I know my song isn't fantastic. I mean I like it and I'd bop to it if it were an actual song but idk if it's lyrically strong enough for this stage of the competition and I'm worried that I'm beginning to come across as a bit of a one trick pony, whereas I know that I'm capable of so much more.
I just hope my song is good enough tho, I made sure it fit the brief, but it doesn't really go any further than that. I'll be surprised if I'm not in the bottom 3, at least. Here's to hoping for the best tho, maybe I am just worrying too much.
My song is called "Talk To Me". Basic title. I know. It's could be applied to many situations depending on how you interpret it. I may post it after judging and I'd be curious to see how different people would perceive it.
