Eh. I'm not worried.
I'd like to think, or hope, that they're taking their time because she has already been gone for 7 years so a bit longer won't make any difference. Rushing her release for, like, 8k albums sold would have been pointless. If they are sending her back into the studio, we can only hope it's because Atlantic are really invested and striving for the best album. The music, timing and promo needs to be perfect for her to find genuine success again.
Also, she's so versatile that she's clearly a very difficult artist to place. Given that fans still aren't really sure what direction her music should follow, I can imagine Atlantic are also having a difficult time deciding whether she should be doing pop, Pop/RnB/proper RnB etc. This is the woman who put out Disaster, then tried to release Demonstrate - two songs that couldn't sound more different.
I also hope it's because they're/she is trying to link up with bigger names. A collaboration with Bruno Mars (her labelmate) is a must imo.
