Meh from the first day I saw that rule, I knew it was that other girl's doing. Billboard at this point should just eliminate other formats and rename the Hot 100 to Pop 100. Everything they've done in the past 10 years has been to benefit the mainstream pop artists to the disadvantage of artists whom aren't necessary strong pop sellers but thrive in album sales or a specific format.
And to be a strong pop seller, you have to give into these payola ****, radio deals, perform at iHeart festival etc. It makes me wonder if all these corporations work together, and why not? They benefit from each other.
Why would Billboard make the charts favorable to say rnb artists like Monica when nobody would want to tune into Monica at the BBMA?
