As much as I understand where Adam is coming from and sympathise heavily with him after how terribly he was treated. The fact remains: pandering = marketing. That's what it is. Every mainstream artist does this - some in more subtle ways than others.
I think if you single Nick out on this, you have to apply that same principle of logic to other artists and I just don't realistically see anyone actually doing that.
