Okay, I put a query in HQ for this thread. Hopefully, I can get the thread before Platinum Hit starts (I know that's not for like a month or so, but hey) so that when it DOES start, I can promote it in the thread title.
I won't let it start unless I can get proper promo, which would mean someone would be able to change the title and this thread would be active.
Oh, look guys! I got the OP to the thread. I'd actually like to have a list of ATRL's songwriters in the OP, but that'd be a lot of work. I'll consider it. As for now, I will give the thread a new title.
Truth be told, I haven't wrote an original song in a while (I did write my own version of a Korean song, but I'm not really counting that.) I did have an idea for what I wanted to write about, but I guess I just need to apply myself to it.
Oh, and thank you Sam Jay! I would like to do some stuff with this thread tbh.
I'm getting majorly inspired by the new Tove Lo album right now. The only problem is it takes a while for me to make beats so the process is slow.
Actually 2 of my PH songs were inspired by Tove too. "Strike Twice" is super inspired by her song "Over" (listen to both and you'll see the similarities) and "Black Balloons" by "Habits".
I'll probably take part in the next PH. I'll be off school next year (if that's when it's starting, IDK) and I've always wanted to try my hand at writing a song (even though I've never actually written one before! ) so it could be fun.
Just wanting to jump in here again, I've only posted once or twice in here. I've written 7 songs within the past 3 days, been having some really interesting and bizarre inspiration such as; some dude that held his girlfriend as hostage and caused a siege threatening to kill police, all the way to having a crush on my best friend who's straight ,and then an anthem for being yourself and not giving any f***s about anything. I have many songs which are not serious which would be half of my songs I've written (roughly about 53ish) which are just random as things, and then 25% are written and told like a story and the rest is just your average clique lyrics. I just absolutely love writing lyrics to express things to/about people, wrote a song to a teacher who I hate which i was throwing shade after shade. I want to post some, might post some in a few days.
I've got a file where I keep all of my ideas down, sometimes I'll think of things and it's nice to just keep a little collection of everything so perhaps next year when I have some more time I'll come back to that and get some inspiration to write.
