At the end of the day, if you are a white male, gay or not, you retain so much privilege. What is extremely unfairly denied you because of your sexuality could float back to you, if no one knew that you preferred the romantic and sexual company of men over women. (You know what I’m talking about. Those “anonymous” torsos on Grindr, Jack’d and Adam4Adam, show very familiar heterosexual faces to the public.) The difference is that the black women with whom you think you align so well, whose language you use and stereotypical mannerisms you adopt, cannot hide their blackness and womanhood to protect themselves the way that you can hide your homosexuality. We have no place to hide, or means to do it even if we desired them.

For straight people, that may seem like a blessing (which is inherently homophobic to assume that it's a blessing), but it's really a curse in disguise.

We really need to stop with this black vs gay argument. I'ts not a competition!!!! Let's all be allies of each other!

and that's not the only problem gay people face either. injustices are terrible but so is not even being able to live your life because people won't leave you alone. the individual experiences of those people are way worse than those of black people that are being affected by an unfair society. those individual experiences add up to a population that has a lot of difficult problems facing them and it's annoying when people act like black people have it significantly worse than them.

not only that but a lot of the issues black people face overlap with the ones gay people face

You clearly know nothing about society or live in a bubble if you don't think black people experience harassment...at the very least. Please do not talk to me about "having your life ruined" from bullying when society itself is set up so that black people are at a disadvantage in life in literally every political, economic and social platform.

Black people face injustices every day of their life based on a racist system that works against them because they're black. You're born black, you can't help it. It's inhumane, illogical, and just plain wrong to be racist.

Gays IN GENERAL (white, latino, asian, black) face bullying, homophobic jokes, and injustices every day of their life as well based on a homophobic and misogynistic system that works against them because they're gay. We're naturally gay... whether we're born gay or we naturally grow into homosexuals... it's natural and we cannot help it. It's inhumane, illogical, and just plain wrong to be homophobic and misogynistic.

MAYBE you didn't realize but bullying isn't just verbal harassment and pranks... it's physical violence that leads to death all too often based on someone's hate for that person being who they NATURALLY are.

Tell me again how PRIVILEGED I was when I was almost driven to suicide? Thankfully, no one has ever physically harmed me because I was gay but I'm ONE case to many others that are.
