It's always been a standout for fans, casuals and critics. It's an actually viable single. It's summery. It works alongside the world tour - perhaps local media will pick up on the country name-drops in relation to her visiting there. It's a logical campaign end song, and it'll transition her from ARTPOP into the Cheek To Cheek album well.
If she wants to play the Fame Game, she should drop the video and dedicate it to her fiance Taylor. News outlets will attach the video to every article about it.

As for the actual video, I've always pictured it as Gaga working in a travelling circus. She's a "Gypsy" (controversy bonus?) She falls in love with a local man, but she can only see him once a year when the circus comes back to town. Her controlling boss won't let her leave when she asks to stay with her lover, and locks her up. Of course the man comes to rescue her and they escape off into the distance.
Cute, appropriate, bright, quirky and fun. So, it won't happen.
