Black people don't get explanations for majority of the unjust things we have to deal with on a regular basis. You know why? Because there aren't any logical ones. You know what we do? Deal with it because we don't have a choice.
I don't even see why it needs to be explained why white people can't say a word that their ancestors used against black people in an extremely demeaning and derogatory way for decades. That is pretty self explanatory as it is. But even if it wasn't? So what. It's still JUST a word. Like it's not going to completely change the course of your day if it's taboo for you to say one word. It's not the end of the world, you're not losing ANYTHING important. Why does it even matter so much? You shouldn't want to say the word regardless if for no other reason than the history behind it.
It all comes down to white people thinking they're entitled to everything. When they come across one thing that someone else can do and they can't or are limited to, they can't handle that.

I must confess that after reading your post here, I couldn't disagree more.

Obviously not about the actual use of the word and racism in general, but explaining why to people.
The objection white people give is not because they "think they're entitled to everything". I think that is actually quite a prejudiced view. The point is one of perceived equality - they believe that every word which is accessible for one community to use casually should be casually accessible to wider society as a whole. Hence, they perceive a
double standard, which in any person's eyes, is a legitimate problem.
You appear so cynical and patronising about the issue ("God forbid" "The agonyyyy") that I can imagine how it might rub even the most logical and sane of white person the wrong way. Sorry but it does need to be explained. You cannot just say: "You can't do this. Sorry but you're this type of person and therefore it's disallowed" without getting questions asked back. The reason people might want to use the word is obvious, it is said all the time in the R&B/rap community, that just has a knock on effect.
