I mean I guess it makes you look really bad and disappoints fans if you're like "no I won't pose for a pic with you"...I just don't see why they can't post it online (at least lately in reference to the party guy and the other dude with a similar one). They're really excited about it and it's not like it has the album's release date or her address or whatever printed on the middle or anything :/

I think Adele was planning something private, perhaps a bday party for Simon or something. Also, although Adele doesn't read comments, etc, she gets a lot of critique... Plus think abt all the harassment Asbo and Laura and all those people get who do post those pics, etc... I think part of it is protecting the person, it's not just her "ego" so to speak. Just my take on it ?
Plus those pics were kinda shady esp surrounded by the girl being on a tv show. Imo.

I'm not sure I agree completely with the anonymous contributor's (whoever they may be) comment though.
I am as far as possible from thinking that it's okay to stalk famous people or their families, however, I believe that one cannot simply just sign a contract and start raking in those millions without any change in public treatment. It's the rather unfortunate yet unavoidable side of the fame they receive that those working in civilian jobs as he/she listed, making their own, different sacrifices to be just scraping by do not face. Again, I'm not saying it's okay to stalk anybody ever, however I think it is a bit unrealistic, especially in the media landscape of today, for the rich and famous to live the extremely privileged lifestyles that they do without ever giving away anything for it.

Well yes that particular family-related set were shady.
My comments were more in reference to the more recent pictures. I.e. what was wrong with the person, not the party planner, who posted the other picture from that day? They didn't say anything substantial about what had been going on there. Though I think the party planner fellow did need to have better confidentiality of his clients, nobody ever actually said what she was planning, when, where, etc.
I don't think it's an ego thing, I just think it would be bad if it was. Laura and Asbo get way more bother from supposed "Daydreamers" than they deserve to, it's kind of sad. Though they must know that they're playing with fire, Asbo much more than Laura, by having any type of frequent contact with such people.

She was in her stage hair and makeup and flew Michael Ashton (or maybe he was already in town) out to do it. I just can't imagine her doing all of that to plan something private.

^ Yeah, Tim told me that he was pretty sure Adele has seen the Wiki. I asked him some side questions that would not be published like about new music and meet-and-greets and stuff like that, and he had no idea when it would be out, so I also decided to talk to him about the Wiki and whether or not he thought Adele had seen it, and he said he was pretty sure she had because it has so much information on Adele that anyone who searched for her was bound to come across it. As for the anonymous contributor's comment, it came off as being a bit cold, although I do have to say that they brought up a good point by saying that whoever is in the picture has a right to post that picture or not to post it, and their rights are taken away when we post pictures like that. I felt awful. I was very apologetic and it sounds like whoever it is is very glad the pictures were taken down. I expressed my sorrow and told the person how upset I was that we had the issue to begin with and that I may have offended Adele or her family. As far as I know, we're good, though! If I ever meet Adele, I won't tell her the name of my fan site, I'll just say I have one! That way, she can't hate me for owning the site! I hope she doesn't anyways, though.... It was created entirely out of respect for her and I didn't mean to intrude on her personal life, so I am glad that the situation was taken care of because I felt horrible about it and I still do! I hope I didn't upset Adele or her family!

I agree with you to a point. I was watching an interview with a famous celebrity a month or so ago and they were talking about how difficult it was to be famous, etc in this media crazed world. Something they said stuck with me, esp when it comes to someone like Adele. (With a side note... I don't think, and I'm sure most of you agree to an extent, Adele is the least bit the type of person who needs media attention to feel good about herself). Anyway, they were saying how performing, singing, acting, etc is so draining. You let 1000's of people in to your world, emotions, etc for a few hours a night, night after night and it begins to feel invasive. Does it come with the territory, of course, but some people understandably need a break to recharge. If A was working right now, I would say... To some degree all bets are off when it comes to privacy etc. But she's not working, in the public eye, she deserves just like the rest of us a vacation from time to time. At some point, in the 21 era, she has to stop owing us. Imo

Don't worry, dude. It's obvious to tell which ones of us mean well and simply have interest in her and who actually mean harm

I agree that now is not the time for any media outlet or whatever to be meddling in such aspects for her life when she's intentionally avoiding them, however, when the album is in fact released, the door will undoubtedly be opened a bit more again. And I personally think it completely comes with the territory.
The "owing" us idea has brought some of the biggest arguments I have ever seen in my past years in this fandom in general. Perhaps the biggest debate there is of all, and I personally don't see it ending in the foreseeable future. Does anybody actually think she owes us random candids from her past though? At its simplest, it's the question of where the line is between our presence as fans being benefitted from or just flat-out used.

I think that's a very good point. I think it's incredible that Adele has managed to keep herself out of the spotlight as much as she has since going on a hiatus. Yeah, the paparazzi have caught her a few times, but compared to a lot of other celebrities, she is really good at hiding from them! I can't imagine how hard it must be to wake up every day and know that every decision you make is going to affect someone, though, and knowing that billions of people around the world know your name and love you and expect so much out of you because of the fact that you're famous. There's a lot of pressure there and it's very understandable why Adele is the way she is when it comes to the media and stuff. I cannot blame her at all. I mean... She chose to be famous. Her family did not. They shouldn't have to get their pictures taken and published all the time because of that. She wants to protect her family and respect their privacy, and I can't find a fault in that. I would want that too if I were a celebrity. She's obviously a very kind and caring person being that she tries so hard to protect her family and friends from the spotlight even if she has to stay in it.

Thanks! Hopefully Adele can see that too! I would never want to upset her after everything she's done for me! She has changed my life in so many positive ways and I can't thank her enough for that!
