The only thing that happens if they're illegal is that women try to take care of it themselves, and potentially kill themselves in the process.

Even if my mom died (God forbid), I could move on with my life pretty much the same. If a woman gets pregnant it also affects her physically and she could die from complications, and financially if the guy walks.

Men still are a vital part of the equation though so yes men should have a say because although the woman caries the baby, that baby still has half of its chromosomes from that man which means its not just her baby, it's his as well. If she can't or doesn't want to take care of the baby then fine but she shouldn't deny the father the right to have their child that they helped to create. I mean they could actually get a court order to make the woman keep the baby until the baby can survive without her so that the father can take care of it but idk if anyone would ever want to take it that far.

There's too many things here to make it a black and white decision. I fully support the rights of the mother to choose when and if she aborts a child - but could I really decide to go through with it if I were a woman and I were in that position? That's an entirely different issue.

Don't make the mistake of blurring the two issues - what you would do, and what all people should have the OPTION to do. They're very different.

Good for you for being able to abstain from sex, but sex is an integral part of relationships. Couples who have regular sex lives have better relationships, fact. But not every couple is looking to have a baby.

A woman can die if she keeps the baby or gets an abortion.....they both have their fair share of complications

There's been numerous articles over the past few years of women driving to Mexico to purchase illegal drugs and dying.

Exactly how I feel. I'll never know for sure, but if I were a woman, I don't think I'd ever have an abortion except under very particular circumstances. But I would feel a hell of a lot better knowing I had the option, should I ever need it.
