And it does seem obvious that shes had an earthquake behind the scenes team wise. But I can't take her vulnerability anymore. Shes like an exposed nerve and im just like protect yourself in the limelight man! I hate to come off as non-empathetic but honestly for a pop star shes too vulnerable. I like that she shows vulnerability, I like that shes not just cold like Madonna had always been, but at the same time she comes off too weak in a self-pitying sort of way.
But I have no doubt shes going to grow from these issues and have a sort of creative resurgence, I guess I was just hoping it would've been this album and not her next.

Well hopefully you never have to deal with any type of depression 'cause then you'll see just how hard it is. It's strange that so many fans seem to not care about her personal well being over things such as "being strong". When you're depressed, you're depressed, and she is clearly depressed right now. Depression sucks, I will tell you first hand, so right now all I care about is her getting better.

Yoü and I pushed that too with the mermaid.
Applause is a great video, it has some ART elements for example. But I kinda hoped she would create something new, or it would look new. Instead to me it looks like she is recyling looks and ideas for this era.
The bubbles dress, fantastic and she only used it once leaving Swinefest. Why not during a performance or even video for example?
I guess the biggest problem is that art is whatever you want it to be and I guess my idea of art is different than hers. Which is ok too.

Oh, I see. I think the Applause makeup was a visual statement. I love how it started off full and then slowly faded as the single era went on.
I think she said that the point was to have a different look every day so that we can begin to understand how she dresses when she feels certain ways. She wants us to be like, "today she's wearing that because she feels sad, happy, excited". But at the same time, we've only gotten one video so maybe more statements are to come!

Yes, because the only cool thing about the VMA performance was the blood, which was nothing more than a gimmick, which everyone supposedly hates now. The AMA performance was non-stop action from start to finish with a great narrative and no gimmicks other than her vocal talent.
