I feel, as someone else said pages ago, whatever point of view this album was supposed to have was totally lost in translation. And to top it off shes so vocal about how upset she is with peoples perceptions of her and its totally steering the mood of this era instead of her just chugging along like she did last era. And I know theres factors as to why that is, im just saying thats what I mean when I use the word conviction.

I understand, but Gaga has made it clear that the album doesn't really mean anything because it can mean everything. It's a convoluted message for sure, but I feel she means "let it mean whatever you want". This time around she's letting us decode it instead of her doing it for us.
Apparently what's going on with Gaga right now is worse than anything she's been through. During BTW, she had a team of people she trusted, but as the era went on several people showed their true colors. That has continued with this era. I really can't fault her for being upset over friends betraying her because we know how selective she is with friends and how much passion she puts into each relationship. It has simply gotten to a point where she can no longer take it, and that's fine because it shows that she's human. As much as I would prefer her to keep her drama offline, if talking about it with us makes her feel better than I can't take that away or complain.
It does definitely distract from the mood of the era and puts a damper on things, but I truly believe that she will return with the conviction you're looking for once she's able to move on from these issues.
