The Anne Frank storyline kinda did serve the plot because that was when Jude started to doubt Arden's past and hired that Nazi investigator. It was cut a bit early tho, but Arden gave her the lobotomy and she supposedly recovered.
One storyline that genuinely didn't serve the plot at all was the one about that little girl who came to the asylum after she killed her friend, and then Mary Eunice told her to go and kill her whole family and we never heard of her again. That really was pointless.
Poor Evan Peters had such a lackluster and unneeded storyline that season. I used because he was in his underwear half the time - but what about everyone else besides the gays and Emma Roberts? What did they use him and his alien sperm for? Why did they bring Grace and Alma back?
But what happened to Arden? NOTHING. He was accused of being a Nazi, he was in a photograph standing next to Hitler, he had Nazi memrobilia in his household, and even after attacking a prostitute, nothing happened to him.. ? Why include all off this plot if you don;t plan on executing? (Unless I'm forgetting something..)
I suppose. I guess it was just to make him appear scarier, and it explains how he learned how to experiment on the patients and everything. It was a little bit pointless, it was an alright side-plot though, it's just nothing ever came of it.
I'm getting these teas for Coven too. Why can't Ryan Murphy ever stay consistent and not just write cheap shock value at the detriment to the flow of his story?
Ryan is definitely good at what he does, his main problem is that he tries to throw too many things at you and you kind of forget what you're watching.
Just look at the iconic Glee-Nip/Tuck early seasons. He's good at starting things but when it comes down to the final execution he could use some work.
Not a thing in Asylum could top the iconic queen of a character that is Madison Montgomery.
ANYTHING tops her.

That's the whole mystery that it leaves you with when he's abducted at the end. I thought it added that mysterious ending to it that none of the other seasons have had (so far), it leaves it open to interpretation.
I'm gonna be devastated when the first Ep of Season 5 airs because it will be the start of the first season without the legendary Jessica
I suppose Sarah Paulson can take over for her. It won't be the same - that is true - but at least it promises more masterclass acting sessions. The next Supreme tbh.
The best moment in any second of any minute of any hour in American Horror Story. The most iconic sequence to ever happen in television and anyone left SEETHING can join Jessica and co. in the dance and sing.
Lily Rabe will be the highlight of AHS after Lange leaves.
I mean, the deranged mother in S1.
The best character (that wasn't Lange) of S2.
She's currently slaying lives left and right as Misty.

She's kinda great too. Misty is the best thing about Coven.
