There is no argument.

3.2 million albums trumps 757k albums. The singles are about the same with Justin edging it currently.

Considering that all those millions of albums more that JT sold in 2013, means people don't need to buy his singles anymore because the albums contain those singles. So in the US in 2013, 2.5 million more people have JT's new songs than have MC's songs - because they are on the albums they have purchased in 2013. There is literally millions more Americans owning the song Mirrors than those owning the song We Can't Stop because the singles are included on the albums.

Bruno was certainly bigger world wide than JT. But I was using US sales data because it is reliable. WW sales data is less reliable, so it makes comparison more unreliable.

Looking at US sales data show JT was the best selling artist in America. Much higher than MC who some have erroneously claimed was the biggest pop artist in 2013. Unorthodox Jukebox is probably going to be 5th best selling album of 2013 in the US, just behind Imagine Dragons.

Absolutely no one but JT stans will act like Mirrors will be a remembered hit from this year. It was literally just "there" and the only reason it even passed the 3 million mark is because radio wouldn't stop shoving it down everyone throats.

The fact that WCS is so close to 3x platinum almost solely because of the MV (because radio paid the song dust) is FAR more impressive than being 3x platinum having a **** ton of airplay.

The amount of airplay it's gotten would make me think it's 4x platinum or 5x platinum, but it just barely crossed the 3x platinum mark a few weeks ago.

The song is far from impactful and is definitely one of the more forgetful hits of the year
