The GP does see her as the voice of her generation even though Christina isn't vocally trained. Weird, huh? I guess if they cared about perfect technique they'd pick a local opera singer and stan for him.
As I said, she does have multiple awards stating that after all.

No they don't, if they did, they won't have trashed her vocals for the national anthem @ superbowl, along screwing up the lyrics
Dead @ Christina never having vocal training. Another lie perpetuated by the Xtina stans, when there are documentation of Xtina going through extensive vocal training at the beginning of her career.
Christina's camp simply tried to market her as this vocal hybrid of Whitney/Mariah/Aretha and it failed miserably. Hence the rapid vocal deterioration.
Even Whitney Houston, who's acknowledged and known as the voice, never got an award stating that. Not even Mariah Carey at her vocal peak. What makes you think anybody would take some random award from ALMA seriously?

Anyway, to answer the question:
Beyonce
Britney = Xtina
Xtina's [once] incredible vocal chops will always balance her out (to a degree) against Britney's X factor and presence. The fact that Beyonce has both vocals and x factor/presence gives her the upper hand between these girls.

The iTunes takeover created confusion and many people bought it just to find out what all the fuzz was about, it was also a great bargain. Bey killed it TBH, but I just think that if any pop girl had done the same thing the results would have been similar, i.e. release an album for $16 with 14 songs and 17 videos plus all the iTunes hype.

THIS! People basically saw it as a steal.

A fan voted countdown doesn't hold much water. Especially when it's placed over legendary performances from MJ, Whitney houston, Mariah Carey and Prince. Already a forgettable performance. Try again.

Exactly, people know that album would have cost about 50 dollars if it was being sold at a price equal to its countless videos. It was being sold like for 16 dollars

You don't take it seriously because it isn't your fave. If it was about Bey you would probably brag about her Teen Choice Awards.

Lmfao no. Lotus sold 80k in one week. BEYONCÉ sold 80k in 3 hours. An "icon" would never produce such disparaging numbers. Even Spears produced more with her crap promo and almost dead career.

Hence why she's the complete package, and gets all the praises from most of the legends across the board. You don't get someone like Prince praising yours musicality and Voice, or Barbra Streisand requesting for you from being limited.

People in general didn't trash her vocals. They said things along the lines of how she had a great voice but they didn't like her forgetting the lyrics
She hasn't gotten that much vocal training which is a fact. And nothing has failed. She's known to the GP for her Voice and a few people on the internet nitpicking isn't going to change that
I suppose if you think this ALMA award shouldn't be taken seriously, you should take in mind for certain Billboard awards too that were created just for certain artists lol.

You think some of these girls that didn't even open with 4's first week sales could accomplish the same feat? Bey can't even get pregnant, travel for an anniversary, or cut her hair like every other celebrity woman without an ensuing media frenzy. It's about impact. The only other people I could see it working for is Gaga or Taylor.
But definitely not for:
-Katy
-Britney
-Christina
-Rihanna
-Miley
People just aren't that invested in their artistry.

What about all the commercials she had on primetime TV for weeks? I even remember seeing back to back Beyonce commercials on the season finale of The Voice, and those don't come cheap, NBC has to pay the highest paid coaches Christina and Shakira ya know...

Why would i take some random award, that have never been awarded to the legendary vocal greats?!? I have nothing to worry about, coz my faves have legitimate icon awards from credible award shows, that have also been awarded to other Legendary artists. Who needs a Teen Choice Award, when you have Grammys? LOL!

If my daddy was in the board I would have as much Grammys as she does.

If people were so interested in Beyonce, why would she have to pull a stunt like this? We all know if the album was released normally, the album would have been thrashed, much lower sales, and XO would be even more non existent on pop radio,
Her first week sales would still be okay though since urban radio tends to play her music regardless of quality.
