Wait...y'all were pretty sure vB5 had already been purchased at the beginning of this thread.
The cracks are revealing.
vB5 itself, I believe (and I am not 100% filled in just yet, I need to go over some more threads before I became a mod), had a ton of issues that needed to be fixed to adapt to the forum that were not fixable within reason. I can refresh myself tomorrow on the situation, but I cannot say definitively that anything's been purchased besides vB4, which was our initial planned temporary step to vB5. However, I KNOW the admins aren't pissing away the money. A lot is being done - more than members give them credit for.
The money is either in an account/conglomerated money pile of some sort and set aside for the purchase of new software, or in the pockets of those who license the software (to the best of my knowledge). The software updates are close, and Athens said in this very thread that later this week, a thread regarding server issues will be posted. Be patient for a few more days - after so long, a few more days should not be a difficult wait for information.
Athens already announced months ago that the software was purchased and several mods tested the beta. Lee!! Even posted pictures of the new layout and said the switch was almost complete.
And you and I both know "in a few days" you and I will still be sitting here with the struggle server and same layout. Sis cut the bull, something isn't adding up.
Y'all snatching money out of the pockets of your own members and promising an upgrade and a better server whille iterally none of that has happened.
Where are the admins so they can answer the thousand dollar question, where did the money go? The server is struggling to this date so y'all lied about that, y'all said a new version of vBulletin was purchased and it still isn't here, y'all lied about that. And upgrade was promised over a year ago, y'all lied about that. Instead more things are being taken away and nothing that really matters is being fixed.
So where is the money?
And I need a solid answer, not some mod who doesn't even know coming in here to throw me for a loop and end up back at square 1.

Hello Retro. Please answer my questions in here and in HQ. They're necessary.

It's 12:14 and I'm exhausted. I've got a half day at school tomorrow, so if necessary, I'll come back to help the other mods answer more questions in like 12 hours and refresh my memory on what I can find about the server situation. Just please, calm down.

It's been a YEAR though.
A damn upgrade to a site should NEVER take a year.
Athens, Joseph, etc aren't giving us enough credit because they barely visit the site unless their paycheck is coming and don't know what it's like dealing with this DAILY.

That was vB4 - I know very well that's been purchased.
What's not adding up? The fact that it took a little time? You're going to feel so silly once the upgrades do come, because there's no behind-your-back spending of all your money going on. It's going to the site. I know this pretty darn well.
