I feel the YT Awards would be a good opportunity to use a montage or medley of her hits before or during her performance.

Make it a celebration of her career so far before the new album and nod to how important YT has been to her growth. She basically spearheaded the whole mega-view viral music video thing with BR, Telephone and Alejandro, so she deserves recognition for that. Being the first artist to top a billion views back in 2010 is far more impressive than it is to top 2 billion etc. now.
